Haiti invites to Miami: a vibrant celebration of identity and sharing

On April 11 and 12, the city of Miami will vibrate to the rhythm of Haitian culture on the occasion of the « Taste of Miami Carnival ». This second edition, named « Arts + Eats », will showcase cooking, painting and music, with the participation of many artists and the exceptional presence of footballer Duckens Nazon.

Haitian culture invites itself in force in Miami during a festive and immersive weekend. Through the « Taste of Miami Carnival », the organizers intend to offer a complete showcase of the Caribbean's artistic and culinary know-how, with a particular focus on Haiti, confirmed Mr. Ringo Cayard at the Magik 9 microphone on Monday, April 6.

Planned for April 11 and 12, this second edition focuses on the theme « Arts + Eats ». The kick-off will take place on Saturday at the Little Haiti Cultural Center, with a gastronomic fair bringing together several renowned chefs from the region. Visitors will discover a diversity of Caribbean flavours, while an exhibition will highlight the works of Haitian and international artists.

On Sunday, place to the carnival atmosphere. The streets will simmer at the rhythm of musical performances and a colourful parade. Several DJs, groups and artists will perform, accompanied by dancers, including from Brazil, to enrich this multicultural celebration.

Beyond the festive aspect, the event also means a moment of pride and influence for the Haitian diaspora. The announced presence of Duckens Nazon, guest of honour, symbolizes this attachment. The attacker of the national selection agreed to participate voluntarily, a gesture praised by the organizers.

Through this initiative, Miami confirms its role as a cultural hub where Caribbean identities meet, value and celebrate.
