Le projet « Fanm Flanm « , porté par l’artiste Kemissa Trecile (Au Top Kemissa), a été officiellement présenté lors de sa cérémonie de restitution le vendredi 31 juillet 2026. Soutenue par le Fonds d’urgence pour le patrimoine de l’UNESCO, cette initiative a réuni pendant plusieurs mois des artistes et professionnelles haïtiennes autour d’une création collective visant à mettre en lumière les voix, les parcours et les expériences des femmes dans un contexte marqué par la crise que traverse le pays.
Launched on 12 May 2026 with the first studio recording sessions, the project resulted in the production of an album of ten tracks combining rap, konpa, amapiano and rabòday. Songs include resilience, self-confidence, dignity, human relations and women's empowerment. They also offer a showcase to Haitian singers, rappers, musicians and producers from various artistic backgrounds.
Beyond its musical reach, « Fanm Flanm » promotes culture as a tool for expression, transmission and social cohesion. Through this restitution, the partners of the project – UNESCO, the Ministry of Culture and Communication (MCC), the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP), as well as the embassies of France and Canada in Haiti – have renewed their commitment to women's artistic creation and the development of the Haitian cultural sector, despite the challenges the country continues to face.
