The Government of Haiti participated, this Thursday, July 30, 2026, in the meeting of the Steering Committee of the United Nations Framework for Sustainable Development Cooperation in Haiti (UNSDCF), organized at the Karibe Hotel. Co-chaired by the Minister of Planning and External Cooperation, Sandra Paulemon, and the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Haiti, Nicole Bono Kouassi, this meeting brought together representatives of the State, United Nations agencies, international partners and civil society to assess the progress made and define the priorities of cooperation for the coming months.
The discussions focused on the annual review of the CCF, the main coordinating mechanism for United Nations development support in Haiti. Participants also discussed the perspectives of the next implementation cycle and strategies to mobilize more resources to support national priorities and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Taking part in the work, the Minister for Status of Women and Women's Rights, Pedrica Saint Jean, called for a better integration of gender equality into public policies and development programmes. She stressed the need to strengthen women's participation in decision-making, reaffirming her ministry's commitment to more inclusive, equitable and sustainable development in Haiti.
