Port-au-Prince, June 23, 2025.- The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) reports cases of fraud in the teacher regularization process.
In a statement issued on Monday, June 23, 2025, the MENFP reported that it had discovered several irregularities in the files submitted by the unions. These are falsified letters of appointment and false diplomas, including those of the baccalaureate, the Normal School of Teachers (ENI) and the Training Centre for Fundamental Education (CFEF).
These problems arise as the Ministry implements the agreement signed on 20 January 2025 with six trade union platforms to improve the situation of non-budgeted teachers.
In the same vein, the MENFP condemns these practices with the latest rigour and asks the unions to check the files carefully before submitting them. An investigation is under way in collaboration with the institutions concerned.
Lastly, he reaffirmed his commitment to a fairer education system and called for the frank cooperation of all in order to succeed in this process of regularisation in a transparent manner and, above all, in accordance with ethical principles.
