Delmas, September 11, 2025.- The Minister for Status of Women and Women's Rights, Pedrica Saint-Jean, met on Monday, September 8, with UNESCO representative in Haiti, Eric Voli Bi, in Delmas 48. Both officials agreed to strengthen their cooperation on projects related to mental health, menstrual protection and gender education.

The meeting was a strategic step in consolidating the dialogue between MCFDF and UNESCO. It identified common priorities and laid the foundation for a structured partnership for gender equality.

Several axes were selected during the exchanges. Mental health, particularly in relation to the difficulties faced by women in a context of persistent crisis, has been identified as a major issue. Menstrual protection, considered a matter of dignity and public health, was also highlighted. Finally, gender education was presented as a key lever for raising awareness among younger generations of the values of equality between men and women.

In order to make this cooperation operational, both parties decided to draw up an Annual Work Plan (AWP). This document is intended to plan, coordinate and monitor joint projects effectively.

This meeting is an important step towards strengthening joint actions between MCFDF and UNESCO. It also reflected a shared commitment to implementing concrete and sustainable initiatives for the advancement of women's rights and gender equality in Haiti.
