A joint mission of the Groupe Agence française de développement (AFD) and the French expert team took place in Haiti from 26 to 31 May 2026. This visit resulted in several meetings with Haitian government officials, representatives of civil society and international partners working in the country.
The trip was also marked by the inauguration of an expertise France office in Cap-Haïtien. On 27 May, discussions took place at the Résidence de France on various development issues, bringing together actors from the Haitian public administration and international cooperation.
According to information published by the French Embassy in Haiti, Expertise France is currently implementing ten projects financed by France and the European Union. These include public finance, customs modernization, education, agriculture, civil protection, urban planning and nutrition.
