Tabarre, 30 June 2025.- The Prime Minister, Mr. Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, met with the Director General of the National Police of Haiti (PNH), Mr. Rameau Normil, on Monday, June 30, at the General Directorate of the Police Institution, located in Clercine 8, municipality of Tabarre.
Focused on the rehabilitation of the country's security climate and the measures to be strengthened to ensure an effective and coordinated response by the State, this important and strategic meeting took place in the presence of the Minister of Justice and Public Security, Dr Patrick Pélissier, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Alfred Fils Métellus, among others members of the High Command of the PNH.
Making a successful and effective public administration one of his priorities, the Head of Government renewed his commitment to modernising and optimizing the mechanisms for managing State funds, with particular emphasis on disbursement procedures.
In addition, the Prime Minister took the opportunity to propose concrete solutions tailored to the current security environment. He mentioned the need to increase the number of police officers in the field and to consolidate the gains made in the rigorous management of public resources.
As for his willingness to make resources available to the HNP in order to accomplish his mission fully, he initiated a consultation with the key institutions, namely the MEF and the MJSP. The approach is to establish a more fluid channel of disbursement, respecting the principles of transparency and governance.
At the end of the meeting, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé recalled that his Government is working to ensure the free movement of lives and goods throughout the national territory and to optimize the performance of public administration, in strict compliance with the law.
