Port-au-Prince, September 22, 2025.- The Lorquet Foundation for a New Haiti (FOLONHA) took part, on Sunday, September 14, in the Philosophical Banquet initiated by the Combite 33 movement around the theme : « Rethinking Haiti ». In the presence of Haitian intelligentsia personalities, the foundation shared its vision of a society based on respect, tolerance and community commitment, essential to building a more inclusive and inclusive Haiti.
During this meeting, several speakers including Archange Deshommes, Raoul Lorfils Junior, Dr. Francis Narcisse, Dr. Frantz Large, Pastor Ornis Armand, Dr. Roubytherson Castera and Dalida Jeune brought their reflection on the possible paths of change. All agree to recognize the responsibility of the elites in the current failure and the need for each of them to contribute actively to national refoundation.
Guest of honour, Dr. Joël Lorquet presented for more than twenty minutes the vision of FOLONHA for a « New Haiti ». He stressed the value of « Living together »stressing that respect, empathy, civility and tolerance are essential pillars of social cohesion. According to him, the elites must carry out an examination of conscience and adopt a proactive attitude to build a peaceful, productive and endogenously developed society.
Created on December 23, 2022, the Philosophical Banquet is a space for reflection and conviviality where reading, debates and intellectual exchanges nourish collective thought. FOLONHA, faithful to its mission since its creation in 2010, continues to invest in education, health, social services and international cooperation to contribute to a more just and supportive Haiti.
