Washington: PM Alix Didier Son-Aimé on a diplomatic mission for security and elections

Port-au-Prince, August 25, 2025.- Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé is about to travel to Washington, D.C., United States of America, this Tuesday, August 26, to meet with leaders of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the United Nations (UN).

According to our source, discussions will focus on the OAS road map recently presented by Secretary General Albert Ramdin to the Permanent Council of the Regional Institution.

In addition, the Head of Government will be accompanied by a delegation composed of: the Chief Executive Officer of President Laurent Saint-Cyr, Raina Villejoint Forbin; the Councillor of the Prime Minister, Guerly Leriche; Amos Dorival; the Ministers of Economy and Finance, Alfred Fils Métellus and the Delegate to the Prime Minister, in charge of Solidarity and Humanitarian Affairs, Herwil Gaspard; the Secretary of State for Public Security, Mario Andrésol; the Inspector General in Chief of the National Police of Haiti, Frédéric Leconte; the Treasurer of the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP), Jacques Desrosiers; the Executive Director of CEP, Phillip Augustine and Victor Bingel.

It should be recalled that this will be the second official mission of Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé to the United States, as part of efforts to restore security, to organize the constitutional referendum and general elections throughout the country.
