Port-au-Prince, February 27, 2026.- The Provisional Electoral Council (CEP) officially announced this Friday, February 27, 2026, the opening of the process of registering political parties, groups and groupings. This operation will take place from 2 to 12 March 2026 at the head office of the institution in Pétion-Ville, pursuant to article 143 of the Electoral Decree of 1 December 2025.
Through this announcement, the CEP marks a key step in the preparation of the next elections. Official representatives of political structures are invited to appear at the central office, located at 72 Stephen Archer Street, between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, with all the documents required by the electoral law.
For political parties, the registration file must include, inter alia, the notarial constitution, the act of recognition, the statutes, the minutes of the last general assembly or the congress designating the executive board, the correspondence of the Ministry of Justice attesting to the registration of the party, and the symbol and emblem in colour. A valid copy of the official representative's or representative's national identification card (NIC) is required, accompanied by a digital medium (CD or USB stick) containing the logo in JPEG or PNG format.
In addition, party groupings and groupings will have to produce a notarial agreement linking the member parties, the list of signatories, the acts of recognition of each constituent entity and the documents relating to the use of a common emblem.

The electoral institution reaffirms its commitment to ensure an inclusive, impartial and transparent process, calling on political actors to adhere scrupulously to the deadlines set.
