Kenscoff, le 24 août 2025.- L’Office National de l’Aviation Civile (OFNAC) a dénoncé, le samedi 23 août, un acte de sabotage contre ses installations stratégiques à Kenscoff. Tout en qualifiant l’attaque de « grave et inacceptable « , l’Institution affirme que la sécurité du trafic aérien n’a pas été compromise et que les opérations se poursuivent normalement.
In an official communiqué, the OFNAC Directorate General confirmed that its infrastructure, located on the heights of the Selle massif and essential for the regulation of flights throughout the territory, was targeted by armed individuals.
Face à cette attaque, des mesures d’urgence ont été immédiatement activées afin de limiter l’impact sur la circulation aérienne. « Les dispositifs de secours ont fonctionné, permettant ainsi de maintenir la continuité des opérations « , précise l’institution, qui a dépêché sur place des équipes techniques pour rétablir rapidement le site.
But beyond the technical incident, this sabotage represents a new step in the grip of armed gangs, now able to target strategic infrastructure, after long targeting urban areas and law enforcement.
According to OFNAC, prolonged sabotage of this type could have a serious impact on both passenger transport and the transport of goods and the reception of international flights, which are key elements of the national economy.
