This delivery marks the first step in a batch of 17 armored tanks planned, as part of a strategy to strengthen military capabilities and national security, led by the Transitional Presidential Council (CPT) and the government.
The ceremony was also attended by the Minister of Defence, Mr. Jean-Michel Moïse, the Minister of Justice, Dr. Patrick Pélissier, as well as Major General Jonas Jean, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Fads and several civilian and military leaders.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed his government's commitment to modernizing the Fad-H so that they fully fulfil their constitutional mission: to defend the nation, ensure security and support the stability of the country.
