Port-au-Prince, March 20, 2026.- In Clercine 8, the Director General of the National Police of Haiti, André Jonas Vladimir Paraison, met this Friday, March 20, 2026, the Commission de Passage de Grade, in the presence of members of the High Command, with the aim of advancing the internal reforms related to promotions within the institution.
This meeting is part of the continuation of the validation, on 16 March, by the Supreme Council of the National Police, of the recommendations resulting from the investigation report submitted by the Commission in September 2025. Established upon the arrival of Commander Paraison, the mission of this structure was to examine in depth the mechanisms for assigning rank in order to detect and correct any irregularities.
During the discussions, the Head of the HNP reiterated his commitment to promoting an institution based on fairness, professionalism and merit. It also guaranteed the necessary support for the Commission to ensure the continuation of its work, with the aim of achieving a definitive regularisation of the promotion processes within the police force.
