Moscow, Beijing and Pyongyang show their alliance against the West

Beijing, 2 September 2025.- On the eve of a military parade marking the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, Russian and Chinese presidents Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping posted their strategic unit in Beijing. A demonstration of strength in the face of what they call growing Western pressures.

The two countries also announced that 2026 and 2027 will be devoted to a strengthened partnership in education, science and technology, areas deemed essential to their autonomy.

On the political front, China continues to avoid condemnation of Russian invasion in Ukraine. At the Tianjin summit, Vladimir Putin blamed the West for the conflict. The military parade scheduled for 3 September, in the presence of Xi, Putin and Kim, will be an assumed showcase of a common front against American influence.

A trilateral meeting between the three leaders is mentioned, which would be an unprecedented event and send a strong signal in a global context marked by growing tensions.
