Port-au-Prince, July 26, 2025.- The Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC) announced the closing of the first edition of the Anti-Corruption Summer School, organized in partnership with the United Nations Office against Drugs and Crime (UNODC). Launched on July 11, 2025 at Hotel Karibe, this initiative is part of the ongoing efforts of the ULCC to promote a culture of integrity, transparency and accountability in Haiti.
More than 50 students from public and private universities took part in the training, under the theme: « Demand accountability through reporting corruption ». They were satisfied and motivated to become actors of change.
« I have learned a lot about key themes such as the fight against corruption, good governance and responsible citizenship. Corruption is not only a crime, it is a scourge that gangrene public administration and can contaminate all spheres of society. »said one participant.
Haitian and international experts, including the Superior Court of Accounts and Administrative Litigation (CSCCA), the Central Financial Intelligence Unit (UCREF), the National Commission for Public Procurement (CNMP) and UNODC, moderated this training week, from July 11 to 18.
At the end of this activity, participants received from the ULCC a USB stick containing useful documents and relevant corruption files. They hope that this initiative will be extended and extended to other young people who want to engage in the fight against this scourge.
