Tabarre, 28 December 2025.- Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé announced a total offensive against armed gangs this Sunday, 28 December, during a visit to the Directorate General of the National Police of Haiti, in Clercine. He said that this general mobilization of the security forces, reinforced by 25 armoured vehicles offered by the US State Department, through the Office of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL), aims to restore public order and state authority throughout the national territory.
Accompanied by members of his government and the Director General of the PNH, André Jonas Vladimir Paraison, the Prime Minister expressed the Haitian State's gratitude to the INL Bureau of the US State Department for the delivery of 25 armoured vehicles. This equipment will strengthen the protection and intervention capabilities of law enforcement in the fight against armed gangs, he said.
The head of the Higher Council of the National Police of Haiti recalled the firmness of the Government during this umpteenth visit to the central headquarters of the PNH. According to him, this offensive will gradually reconquer the territories occupied by gangs, restore public authority and ensure the long-term security of the population, while preparing for the general elections of 2026 under the exclusive authority of the State.
The Government confirms that the fight against criminal networks will continue unabated, considering national security as a prerequisite for the return to constitutional order. The general mobilization of security forces and international support demonstrate the determination of the State to restore its authority and protect citizens.
