FIFAWorldCup2026/ T-Joe Zenny : « La sélection haïtienne a besoin d’un projet, pas d’un miracle «

Joseph Zenny Junior "T-Joe Zenny"

Port-au-Prince, June 15, 2026.- In an intervention on Magik 9 this Monday, June 15, the singer and football enthusiast T-Joe Zenny delivered his analysis of Haiti's participation in the World Cup 2026. While he welcomed the competitiveness displayed by the Grenadiers, he also advocated for a long-term vision, investments in sports infrastructure and a real national project capable of transforming Haitian football in a sustainable way.

A selection that inspires pride

Like many Haitian fans, T-Joe Zenny experienced with intensity the performances of the national selection during the World Cup. Between emotions, hopes and frustrations, however, he believes that the Grenadiers demonstrated that they were able to compete with high-level opponents.

According to him, the team has demonstrated collective discipline, solidarity and tactical organization, qualities that allow Haiti today to be considered a competitive selection on the international stage.

Tactical choices that generate debate

While welcoming the work of the technical staff, the artist expressed some reservations about several changes made during the match as well as the exploitation of some offensive players.

In particular, he referred to the use of fast and explosive players, believing that some adjustments could have been considered differently in order to maintain greater danger in offensive phases.

For T-Joe Zenny, these questions are an integral part of the passion for football and the critical look that fans take on the performance of their national team.

Football as a factor of national unity

Beyond the field, the artist insisted on the unifying role of football in a Haitian society often marked by political and social divisions.

In the stadiums, he says, the differences disappear in favour of a common objective: to support national colours. An image he considers a model for the country.

« La sélection nationale représente l’une des rares causes capables de rassembler les Haïtiens autour d’un même drapeau « , a-t-il laissé entendre au cours de l’émission.

Investing in culture and sport

T-Joe Zenny also argued for a better exploitation of culture and sport as engines of economic and social development.

Taking the example of major sporting and cultural events abroad, he stressed that these sectors generate investment, create jobs and contribute to the international reach of a country.

According to him, Haiti has enough talent to succeed, but suffers from a lack of vision and planning.

« Tout commence par un projet «

One of the main messages of his intervention is the need to develop a real project to develop Haitian football.

Based on examples from Spain, France and Argentina, T-Joe Zenny pointed out that sport success is based on multi-year strategies.

Pour lui, les performances de la sélection nationale ne relèvent pas de la magie mais du travail, de la formation, des infrastructures et d’une vision cohérente à long terme. « Une équipe nationale ne peut pas réussir durablement sans projet « , a-t-il conclu.
