In a note published by the Coordination de Presse et des Relations publiques of the National Police of Haiti (CPRP/PNH), it was confirmed that a violent confrontation occurred on the night of October 11 to 12, 2025, in Kenscoff, town of Pétion-Ville. Heavy-armed individuals attacked the area, deliberately burning the property of Wynn Farm, one of the country's largest ecological reserves.
In response to this situation, the HNP announced that it had rapidly strengthened its operational capability. Specialized units have been deployed: a team of the Haitian National Police Response Group (GIPNH/SWAT) in reserve, a unit of the Intervention and Maintenance Corps (CIMO), a Task Force supported by an armoured vehicle, and enhanced coordination with the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ), including the Research and Intervention Brigade (BRI).
According to CPRP/PNH, several bandits were fatally injured in exchanges of fire with law enforcement, and stolen oxen were recovered by law enforcement officials.
