Port-au-Prince, September 1, 2025.- The State University of Haiti (UEH) officially launched, this Monday, the UEH-NET-Student programme, designed to improve students' access to digital resources and the Internet to support their learning and research.
This initiative, which is located at the Rectorate of the UEH, aims to connect all students of the institution in order to facilitate their academic work and strengthen their digital skills.
In his speech, the Rector, Dr. Dieusel Predelus, explained that the program will allow students to benefit from a SIM card including 30 gigas of data per month. The aim of this scheme is to support access to online courses, research platforms and academic communication.
The Rector stressed that the UEH-NET-Student is part of a broader strategy to modernise the university's digital infrastructure, in order to meet the growing needs of students in a context where digital is central to education.
With this program, the UEH wants to position itself as a key player in the digital transition of higher education in Haiti, offering its students modern tools to improve their learning and academic success.
