Cayes: L的AAN meets IBC Airways to launch operations at Antoine-Simon Airport

Cayes, 22 July 2025.- The National Airport Authority (NAA) met on Monday 21 July with the official representative of the company IBC Airways in preparation for the launch of the company's activities at Antoine-Simon des Cayes International Airport.

According to an AAN communiqué, this strategic meeting was intended to assess the technical and operational conditions for the installation of IBC Airways in strict compliance with civil aviation standards.

At the end of the trade, it was agreed to start operations with freight before considering passenger transport. This orientation is based on the need to bring the airport terminal into line with the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

A joint technical assessment mission is scheduled on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 to determine the location of two 40-foot containers for freight operations, and two other 20-foot containers to house the IBC Airways offices. The company plans to complete the facilities by mid-August 2025.

At the same time, AAN will refurbish the existing terminal to integrate essential services such as immigration, customs, the Anti-Trafficking Brigade (BLTS), the boarding room and check-in counters. This work is scheduled for 60 days, starting Monday, July 28, 2025.
