Towards elections: the Primature recruits two Experts in Electoral Operations

Port-au-Prince, July 30, 2025.- As part of preparations for the constitutional referendum followed by the general elections, the Primature, through the Deputy Minister for Electoral and Constitutional Affairs, recruits two (2) Experts in Electoral Operations. These experts will serve as a strategic liaison and technical input in close collaboration with the Provisional Electoral Council (CEP).

In an announcement published on Wednesday 30 July, the Primature stated that this initiative aims to strengthen the institutional support necessary for the effective, transparent and responsible management of the entire electoral process coordinated by the CEP, from the referendum to the general elections.

Emphasis is placed on the importance of government monitoring at all stages of the electoral process, in coordination with the CEP. This includes:
– Support in the implementation of electoral procedures in accordance with international standards;
– Monitoring election deadlines and identifying potential risks;
– The guarantee of state support for the strict application of voting security protocols.

Three areas of intervention were identified to ensure transparency and effectiveness of the electoral process: transparency and accountability, expertise and strategic advice, and then institutional coordination.

Furthermore, the document states that international and security cooperation, dialogue and inclusion, reporting and communication are the key responsibilities associated with accompanying the electoral process.
