Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé made a visit to Cap-Haitien this Thursday, July 30 to participate in the commemoration activities of the 20th anniversary of the Network of Departmental Public Universities (UPD). The ceremony takes place at the Northern Public University in Cap-Haitien (UPNCH) and brings together university officials, local authorities and several members of the government.
Upon his arrival, the Head of Government, accompanied by the Minister of Public Works, Transport and Communications (MTPTC), was welcomed by the departmental authorities, local elected representatives and representatives of the city. This visit comes as the MTPTC continues to carry out several infrastructure projects in the Northern Department.
Through his presence, the Prime Minister reaffirms his government's commitment to public higher education. Academic and governmental authorities stress the need to continue investment in academic infrastructure, which is seen as a key lever for the sustainable development of the North and the country.
