The Ministry of the Environment, through the National Office of the Ozone (BNO) with the technical and financial support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), launched, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, a call for applications for the Hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC) licence fellowships. This appeal concerns Haitian students enrolled in the final year of the degree in the following priority disciplinary areas: industrial engineering, electromechanical engineering, environmental sciences, chemistry and biochemistry, physics, environmental economy, environmental law, health economics and development sciences.
Four scholarships of $4,500, or approximately 587 430 Haitian gourdes per scholarship, are available and will be paid in three instalments over a period of approximately eight months, from February to September 2026. Applications will be received from May 5 to 15, 2026.
Applicants must be in the final year of their licence, have an academic mentor and submit a detailed research proposal. The selection will be carried out by a tripartite committee composed of the BNO, UNDP and academic authorities.
