Port-au-Prince, August 27, 2025.- Jean André Victor calls for a national mobilization to anticipate the end of the mission of the Transitional Presidential Council (CPT), scheduled for February 7, 2026. He denounces the maneuvers of the international community, which, according to him, seek to use the United Nations as a pretext to impose actions harmful to the future of Haiti. Victor urges organized sectors of the country to unite to avoid a return to the crisis and preserve national sovereignty.
In an uncertain political context, Jean André Victor, an agronomist and politician, called for national unity to prepare for the next phase of governance in Haiti. While the CPT mission is due to end on 7 February 2026, Victor insists on the need for a clear plan to prevent the country from sinking into a new crisis.
« It's essential that we don't get out of one crisis to fall into another. », said Victor in a recent speech. It warns against an international initiative that could threaten the sovereignty of the country, affirming that external actors are seeking to use the United Nations as a shield to impose reckless decisions that would harm the millions of Haitians.
The political leader has particularly targeted the international community, which he accuses of preparing for a post-CPT transition without taking into account the real needs and aspirations of the Haitian people. « We must remain vigilant to prevent our destiny from being decided by external forces. », he added.
Victor therefore calls on all the organized sectors of the country to mobilize, with a view to launching concrete actions to ensure a stable transition of power that respects national interests. It encourages every citizen to become involved in this process in order to ensure that the voice of the people is heard and that future decisions are taken in favour of the sovereignty of Haiti.
