Representing the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), the former Minister of National Education stresses the importance of education in a global context marked by multiple and interconnected crises; According to him, international cooperation is no longer an option, but a prerequisite for lasting peace and prosperity.
The Forum, he stressed, should promote the development and sharing of concrete, inclusive and sustainable solutions. It is a common goal, inclusive of governments, civil society, the private sector and international institutions.
In conclusion, Nesmy Manigat utters a cry from the heart with a strong message: « No lasting peace is possible without safe schools, well-trained teachers and educated children. »
