Port-au-Prince, 29 July 2025.- This Tuesday, Benel Didier, Director General of the DIGNITY School Transport Company, announced the official report of his mission to the Great South. He drew up a detailed picture of the company's buses in the area and confirmed his plan to soon restore national coverage.
Benel Didier, on his trip from 22 to 27 July 2025, assessed vehicle conditions in several locations in the Great South. He found that several buses, which had been stopped for several years, suffered from major failures such as the absence of batteries, tires, clutches, while some were completely out of service, lacking engines, rims or other essential parts.
Despite these difficulties, the Director-General assured him that he intended to open operational offices in several cities in the department and that he already had space to house buses and the company's administrative structures.
At that conference, Benel Didier also revealed that his delegation had been the victim of an attempted intimidation in Pestel. According to him, a group of more than fifty armed individuals, camouflaged and dressed in uniforms similar to those of the Protected Areas Security Brigade (PASB), took part.
However, he pointed at former Senator Guy Philippe and announced his intention to file a complaint for this incident that occurred when he left Pestel.
