Port-au-Prince, August 31, 2025.- The Bar of Port-au-Prince will hold, on Saturday 20 September 2025 at 5 p.m., at Hotel Montana, a large fundraising gala intended to finance the acquisition of the House of Advocate. The St. Trinity Philharmonic Orchestra will host the evening. The Director General of the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC), Hans Ludwig Joseph, has already announced his support for this initiative, which he considers essential to the independence and prestige of the institution.
The Council of the Order intends to provide the Bar with material stability and a seat worthy of its role of counter-power. The September event is part of a process of collective mobilization of the profession, called to invest fully to ensure the autonomy and sovereignty of the institution.
« To maintain its counter-power, guarantee its independence and that of lawyers, for its prestige and full sovereignty, the Bar of Port-au-Prince must have its own premises », said Hans Ludwig Joseph in a message of support. He announced his personal participation in the gala and invited his colleagues and sisters to actively engage in this process.
The fundraising gala, which will bring together the legal community and its partners, will thus be a decisive moment to ensure the future and the influence of the Bar of Port-au-Prince.
