Port-au-Prince, June 16, 2026.- The BRH Fund for Research and Development (FRD-BRH) launches its fourth funding cohort. The applications are open from 15 June to 15 August 2026 and target innovative projects in strategic sectors such as artificial intelligence, fintech, MSMEs, public security, traditional medicine and the fields of the Haitian economy.
The BRH Fund for Research and Development (FRD-BRH), an initiative of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti, officially launched its fourth cohort of financing to support scientific research and innovation in Haiti.
This new submission phase is open from 15 June to 15 August 2026 and is aimed at institutions, teams of researchers and individual researchers. Projects must be included in the priority areas defined by the Fund, including artificial intelligence, fintech, micro, small and medium-sized enterprise (SMEs) development, public safety, traditional medicine and economic sectors.
The submission process is conducted in five simple steps, from the creation of an account on the Fund portal to the final submission of the dossier. Applicants must provide several essential documents, including a CV, legal documents, a detailed budget and a summary of the research project in PDF format.
Proposals will be evaluated according to several rigorous criteria: their compliance with the Fund's priorities, their scientific and social relevance, their innovation, their technical and financial feasibility, and the methodological quality. Particular attention will also be paid to the qualification of research teams and their capacity to carry out projects within the time constraints.
According to the FRD-BRH, the selected projects will have to produce not only new scientific knowledge, but also propose concrete solutions to the country's challenges and contribute to the improvement of public policies.
